Well Ideally the pets would be casting the SK's DoTs for them to a degree. Also, ideally the damage of the DoTs would be based off the SK's own spell power. This would allow the SK to focus more on the LTs/Melee side of the house. Also these pets would only last long enough to cast the dot once.

Here is some fun ideas...
1) 50% chance to refresh dots that we have applied to our target, each time we land a melee hit on our target.
2) Pet spell that turned our pet into a Rogue and gives it native lifetap procs (not a buff). Rogue could use the pet summoned dagger to back stab and increase our white damage.
3) Tap our pet, destroying it and gaining strong short term song buff for 2 minutes. AC, MAX HP, Dmg Ruin, Over Haste, Rampage.
Whatever you choice to go with, please no more buffs. Short term song buffs are ok. We are overloaded on buffs and constantly have to manage removing the crap ones, so that the ones we care about are not overwritten by debuffs that mobs cast.

Ok, I have had some thoughts on the SK aug I think would be quite beneficial as well as help the "DoT casting Issue" brought up on another thread. Keep in mind this would be 1 aug Reaver's Stone of the Apocalypse -Proc 1 Pet (Casts Highest level Poison Dot) -Proc 1 Pet (Casts Highest level Disease Dot) -Proc 1 Pet (Casts Highest Level Fire Dot) -Proc 1 Pet (Casts 1 Small Single Target Damage Lifetap In Which The Heal Is Equally Divided Between The Group Members) -Proc A 10 Hit Decrepit Skin -Proc Short Term (12s maybe?) Buff that provides a % bonus to lifetaps The pets would only cast the spells 1 time and despawn (resist or not) The proc rate would be somewhere that would ideally fire off roughly 3-4 times per minute. The major boon this would provide to SKs would be that this would allow them a different avenue to apply their dots to the enemies while still allowing the SK to focus on melee/lifetaps as well as other tanking duties. Also I would speculate that the dots would be resisted from time to time (especially when fighting mobs that have 50% and 75% resist rates.. we all know the ones I'm talking about) so the Sk would still want to apply dots from themselves from time to time. Additionally the boon to lifetap portion could apply a Skeleton Illusion (the red one comes to mind) or a Lich Illusion. Would be fun if each pet had their own appearance however a standard appearance across all pets would be fine as well. Feel free to flame me on my outlandish ideas.. but we were told to shoot high/think outside the box. Also, you could exchange the Lifetap boon portion with a HT timer reduction (or add in addition to ) Edit: Also, this aug would NOT proc the Snare/Dot line (Darkness Line) as I have always felt snaring was an SK/necro role, yes rangers/druids have better movement reducers.. but those don't come with the damage that the Darkness line does. Personally i feel like automating a large portion of the shadow-knights sustained damage is to great of a boon, and if something really is wailing on you so hard that you cant stop tapping then you shouldn't be able to maximize your damage at the same time, its just to convenient.

I think VOD on the aug would be nice as well, but change the illusion from zombie thats old school. I still for some reason like the effect of a blood tornado causing ae damage and health / mana heals for group or could make it to the effect of nimbus of the dead and make the effect very large creating that cloud effect of death i was talking about. So much cool stuff we could do with this.

Nein, a group lifetap kind of deal is done through Necromancer AA's, whereas the SK epic on Live is based off of weapon damage (and SK's have the same thing through Mortal Coil-which is 90% of weapon damage returned as healing). Due to lack of this AA (as SK's get Mortal Coil at 75) I think putting Mortal Coil as a proc effect would be a greater incentive to use the epic than a flame-hilted hammer with erythite gem or not using the abyss blade because it's proc is weak for surviving without an extra 1250 aa's invested for some form of lifetap or farming GoD progression for the Muddy Gem with aforementioned Flame-Hilted Hammer.

Just read this thread not sure if to late but here goes
Maybe a rampge proc to allow aoe dmg w/o neck click added with say a small aoe dot like base of 300-400 dmg as well as a repostle proc maybe on a diff timer that gives 100% for 10s maybe 15s make it where it procs maybe 2-3x a min?

Not really as im not suggesting anything that is over the top but it would set sk up as a full on tank and it still makes sk rely on their spells for taps and such nothing over the top. Gives them added agro aoe to keep the healers and such safe from mob agro via heals/spells.

my ideal sk ult aug: increases AC by 100% reflect increases all heroic stats by byte limit increases damage shield by murder increases hp by immortal increases spell resist by loltacviresist proc: chance on spell cast to dispel bupu's invisibility clicky: instantly spawn malystryx

My fav class bar none is mage followed by bard but i went sk due to mechanics and currently we are very hard to kill but dps is severely lacking and with throwing everything and kitchen sink my undergeared bst bot easily pulls agro

SK's are freakin insane damage...you can have a minimum of 12 dots on a target and smacking the heck out of them with the highest 2hander damage weapon in the game. The dots alone are doing upwards of 175-200K+ damage per tick.
Now throw SK's epic clicky in the mix...and some leechcurse...and some Harm Touch...OMG!!!!!!!!
On a serious note, SK's do awesome damage and have no problem with agro or survivability with Abyss Infused gear + applicable Hatesfury augs.

I guess i hve not gotten those dots yet or gear ....i just know it took me close to 35 min to solo quarm he didnt get me under 70% health but yea and thats with BiS + 2h aug healers aug 2 augs from crescent
