I'm not trying to stir up a flame fest. I really feel that the only true option for playing on this server is flat out hands down warrior. All other classes aren't bad and sure most content can be done by all classes provided you've slammed your "bots" against it enough times and geared them out. The point i'm making is that playing a warrior you have none of the issues the other classes have.
Before anyone loses there F***ING mind! I do acknowledge the fact bots are simply a bandaid and not a solution. I am strictly addressing the amount of tools at a warriors disposal really makes me feel like NOT playing one is a choice to gimp myself.
For example what does a SK bring to the table? - Harmtouch? No due to the nature of spell power and over inflated stats, HT really is kinda a joke esp. with how long the cooldown is. (its longer than most progression boss respawn timers) - FD? No there are any number of clickies with that already on them any class can simply use. - DoTs? Well I currently have 4 clickies usable by any class that cast these so..... - Selfbuff Lifetap proc? Kunark arms are usable by anyone.... - Recastable Lifetap? Ok ill give you that, but GL with DPS if you're doing this and GL using it to stay alive vs a real boss encounter in GoD content.
I'd say the same thing about monk, rog, druid, wizard, mage, necro, enchanter, Bst, and zerker.
I will acknowledge rangers, clerics, and shaman do have unique talents that make them appealing but nothing like what a warrior can do here.

And what is it a warrior can do that other classes cant exactly? I have evasive, the single and only disc I use. I have 40 something k hps and around 9400ac and I still get squashed like a bug in GoD. I dont have dot clickies, no FD, no harmtouch. I am literally a meat shield while I spam cast heal on my shaman.

Everyone is entitles to there opinion but I've said it before and ill keep saying it in the future, play what you enjoy. Don't look at it as being *gimped*, look at it for what it is, having fun. This server is like a fun server with some progression, so have fun with what you enjoy and don't get caught up in the competitiveness.

Coming as someone who started a war/shm box and then moved to Ber/Shm, I can tell you that a War is definitely not the only thing worth playing. If you read through the forms you'll also see that Zephyr has mentioned he's focused more on balancing classes in the end-game content and is working backwards to balance in the mid-level uperr mid-level ranges now. At the high end though, the classes are balanced nicely. My Berserker consistently parses over 13k dps and my war averages ~9k dps. The difference in dps was noticeable without any parsing programs, the parser just confirmed what I already knew.
I just started an SK because I was curious about their versatility and survivability in the endgame content where things can be a little hit or miss with the war. One bad round of dmg and the shm can't heal quick enough. -shrug- just my 2 cents bud, take it for what you will.

Warriors are a bit OP when they are geared through Tunat - because heroic agility is broken in EMU. I realized that during the GM event where Maelik wasnt getting hit by a mob with over 5000 dex.
Im putting in a fix to prevent heroic agi from making you unhittable.
However, GoD balance at the end game is a bit messed up for some classes and thats going to be looked at.

Iunno. Didn't have a parser then, and I only downloaded a parser to look at the difference between my war and zerker which was already late into GoD content. My war can spike to 13dps in a round with luck on procs, but the Zerker can spike to 20k on a single mob with some flurries and procs (and his wep isn't fully augged yet)

I agree. I started the server as mage, went bard for melee / plate, and eventually realized that like almost all servers you end up forced into tank/healer combo.
Sure you can go and say "play what you enjoy..." and I agree! However, if you're interested in actually progressing, enjoy your tank/healer.
Before you say "group with others", While I've only been playing here a few months, something about GoD has changed people to be less friendly and open to helping others. People won't tell you where things drop, what aims they use on weapons, help you progress etc.
I was stuck on Inktu'ta raid for a while until I finally got someone to help progress (because people wanted to keep their content to themselves). Thanks to Hwaag and his crew for helping me.

Personally I get quite a few tells requesting various information and I haven't turned down anyone yet. As far as running content for others, will help where able but can't do it all the time. Our guild has helped more than a few get Tacvi flagged as an example. I do hope your experience here improves, overall we have a great community.

Do you guys have any suggestions to make other classes more viable without nerfing anything? Not sure how to go about it. If I boost DPS of casters, group content will be too easy without rebalancing all of that. If I make casters tank better (and I did significantly raise their mitigation and AC softcaps), there wont be much reason to play plate classes. Rangers I thought were fairly balanced and using discs can tank raid bosses from what I tested, rogues need a boost to backstab damage and thats coming through augs - no real way to make them any better due to class dynamics, theyll never be able to tank and dps. Monks got a boost and I need some more feedback there - Im considering setting a different heroic agi softcap for monks so they avoid more damage compared to plate tanks.

I would love to let me brainstorm a bit. ? ENCHANTER: My suggestion is to create a niche' for them as a massive rune ability. Combo this with a greatly increased NPC only haste. It might make charming an npc not as risky all the while keeping them relevant in dps for the server.
