Just wanted to open a discussion about tank balance and SK tanking specifically. Running with the theory that: Tanking: SK < Pal < War Agro: War < SK < Pal DPS: Pal < War < SK I feel like we need to look at the manner in which SKs are outputting damage. Currently, the thing that sets us apart from the other tanks in terms of damage output is our DoTs. They work reasonably well once they are applied but we are wasting a lot of cast time applying, and then reapplying them during a fight. Couple this with the cast time of the Staff of Prismatic Flux and it starts seriously eating into healing by missed LT procs from augs and self-buffs which also translates to further DPS loss. In fights where we can't land spells at all (which I have already mentioned in the new expansion feedback thread) we end up with the same DPS as a Pal, with nowhere even close to the survivability. I would like to see us able to land DoTs more easily and for them to last much longer than they currently do. I'm fine with having to use the Staff of Prismatic Flux (or Malis if you're boxing a SHM) to get them to land initially but it seems unfair for us to lose so much DPS and survivability to resists when our DPS is intended to be our bread and butter. What do you guys think?

Resist was an oversight, already posted and fixed it. Dps is only going to get better with some changes I am working on across the board. More info on this later.

The issue with bosses and resist was finally uncovered. Fix goes in on next server reset.

Thanks that's great news! This wasn't really meant to be another whinge post, just was hoping to see some discussion around our DPS. As gear gets better, DPS will improve across the board but our DoTs aren't really going to increase in damage proportionately. However, after reading that Atrayas is already on it, I'm happy to kick back and see what happens. Cheers both of you for the fast response!
