I've had suspicions for a while so I downloaded Gamparse to check it, but I'm not sure my melee is working properly. I've seen other SK's comparably geared perform better (more survivability and able to kill things faster) than i seem able so I thought i would check out my melee side of things since more hits = more procs = more survivability and higher dps.
Was testing it on gorillas in F2 and consistently found straight up hit vs actual miss ratio is about 70/30. Does that sound right to you guys? if you factor in a mobs dodge/riposte/parry then it pushes it out to 50/50, I would have thought it would have been a bit higher than that. This doesn't take into account procs (not sure if procs can trigger from a miss?)
Further to that, I found nearly 90% of my hits are crits, which means of all the weapon-swing-damage I am actually doing only 4ish% is from normal melee hits.
Out of 166 swings, 83 hit (10 normal and 73 crit) and 83 misses (31 misses and 52 dodge/parry/risposte).
Keen to see if that reads right for the rest of you - i did this with only GL buffs and cloak of corruption rkIII, shroud of the nightborn rkIII and marrowthirst horror rkIII.

Its something to do with the new mobs and zones.. Still needs to be adjusted I would think.

The initial issue was that certain mob values were set too high and made melee'ing mobs from the front almost impossible. With mob hp lvl and all the procs we have in, currently I am happy with how they are balanced. If we were to increase the melee hit rate other stats would have to be appropriately adjusted so that kill times remain roughly the same as they are currently.
Procs can proc from misses, avoidance checks.
