I only increased the tap damage you guys get back, not the damage itself. I need feedback on your DPS vs pals and warriors to adjust the spell damage.
I hate increasing things too much and having to nerf them, so rather go semi slow here.

I don't play an SK, although I plan to at some stage. I do, however, play with Gamoril regularly and though he does do more DPS than my Paladin, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing an increase in their damage at all. I'd be inclined to suggest that the extra damage comes from lifetaps as they are the most reliable and useful source of damage. Increasing DoT damage could work too but totally gimps their output on short duration fights and mobs with high resistance as I find DoT's get resisted more than nukes, and lifetaps (I believe) have high resist modifiers making them land far more often.
Please take my opinion with a pinch of salt here as I don't have first hand experience playing an SK on Imperium, perhaps others can suggest better options. I would like to make it clear though that I have no problem with SK's pulling ahead of Paladins significantly in the DPS department.

You guys probably have access to better comparison tools for that stuff but I can dump some parse files somewhere if you want.

I'd like to see SKs close to or slightly above a Warrior purely for the fact that Warriors are going to be a fair bit better for taking damage. I can't really say where the best place to this increase would be. I think the shrouds could be a good way of doing it but remember that anyone can use the SK ornate BP which has a clicky shroud. At least then we aren't so reliant on DoTs which can be hard to land and aren't very helpful for clearing trash (or killing goblins haha). Could we look at increasing Harm Touch/Leech Touch for the odd last ditch attempt at a kill? Pals need a pretty big bump from what I've seen playing a lot with Konba(Genesis). They're pretty terrible, DPS wise. The agro changes to Pals are bloody amazing though, good job there! I really have no idea what should be changed or added and I would say that's probably better discussed in the Pal forum with the rest of them.

Here is how I envision tanks:
Tank Dps: Sk > War > Paladin
Tank agro Paly > Sk > War
Tank survivability War > Paly > Sk
Each tank is the best in one category, while at the same time being the worst and middle in the other two.

Yeah thats what Im aiming for, its just hard to balance with how crazy the stats and procs get. I think I got the aggro straightened out. DPS needs work.

So the new SK spells, how do we all feel about them? 80 - Umbral Skin: Mitigate Melee Damage by 100% (not sure how many charges) 80 - Touch of the Soulbleeder: DD + max hitpoint increase 80 - Touch of the Kildrukaun: Lifetap 80 - Remorseless Demeanor: Grants damage bonus on next lifetap after you have killed a "challenging foe". 79 - Drape of Corruption: Increases your hit points, armor class, and damage shield 79 - Revile: AE Taunt 79 - Rotmarrow Spear: DD nuke 78 - Grim Covenant: Skellie illusion + mana regen + DoT on you ... oh and ultravision, verrah important. 78 - Maladroit Minion: Summon Pet 78 - Expiate Death: Pet Buff 77 - Assiduous Impurity: Poison DoT + additional dmg to plants 77 - Blood of the Blackwater: Poison DoT 77 - Trial for Power: Single target taunt over time 77 - Shroud of the Gloomborn: Add Proc: Lifetap 76 - Blackwater Bite: Lifetap and Manadrain 76 - Bond of the Blackwater: Duration lifetap 76 - Terror of the Soulbleeder: Single target taunt 76 - Procure Corpse: corpse summon up to lvl 80 76 - Soulthirst Horror: Add Proc: DD + 10% Lifetap based on Weapon Damage
80 - Umbral Skin: haven't used it - I rarely used decrepit as it goes too fast to really make much of a difference. 80 - Touch of the Soulbleeder: usually throw this on early in a fight. 80 - Touch of the Kildrukaun: have at least two if these loaded if possible - they don't use the same timer! 80 - Remorseless Demeanor: never use, don't plan to use. 79 - Drape of Corruption: is a given, must have. 79 - Revile: use often when boxing/grouping. 79 - Rotmarrow Spear: never use, recast timer makes it undesirable. 78 - Grim Covenant: never use it, never had occasion where my mana was lower than 80%. 78 - Maladroit Minion: don't usually use them due to pulling with my sk requires additional multitasking for pet control and boxing - I'm hopeless at boxing as it is. 78 - Expiate Death: see above. 77 - Assiduous Impurity: never used it but might be worthwhile looking into levelling a driud box as opposed to my shaman. 77 - Blood of the Blackwater: sometimes use it, usually dot from shaman box instead. 77 - Trial for Power: never use it, melee dmg is good enough to keep bosses off my box, and i use revile elsewise. 77 - Shroud of the Gloomborn: is a given, must have. 76 - Blackwater Bite: sometimes use, if i have enough spell slots 76 - Bond of the Blackwater: see above. 76 - Terror of the Soulbleeder: never use. 76 - Procure Corpse: Love that this now lets us summon corpses above the level you need to cast it!!! 76 - Soulthirst Horror: is a given, must have. Keen to see what you guys think

We nerfed harm touch back in December mainly because it was hitting so hard that it would give a negative value. We fixed that issue just to get how hard they were hitting. They were hitting for about 700k, but this is before we totally fixed how spell damage worked. I may look into buffing it.

Which is alright, it suits its purpose however, every once in a while I get a 100k+ crit with it. I don't know where you guys would like to have its damage at.

Keen to see what you guys think Load decrepit skin and use it. Its crucial for resetting your health after a bad round. It will save your ass in almost every wipe situation. - I havent checked to see if umbral stacks with the new decrepit yet, if it does - use them both. Stop just dotting on shaman, self buff then load 2 lifetaps to use on demand, skin, and the rest dots. I use all three ranks of bond (lowest resists), 2 ranks of blood, and I throw in whatever else I feel like that day, mostly disease cloud for the lawls. The majority of our damage comes from dots, not melee. I also use 4 click dots and the lower resist staff. With everything up I am running 10 dots on Aci and 5 on my shaman. This isn't live, we have a slightly different toolbox here. Need to adapt to the different tools and slightly different play style to be effective.

After careful testing and consideration as well as trying different types of play styles I've come to the conclusion that SKs are in a very good place right now. My only comment is that the buff from lifetap might have been a tad too much however, I still find content that should be challenging, challenging and I still die at a pretty consistent rate from mistakes. I'll leave it up to you guy's discretion what you want to do with that. I think right now we are one of the stronger classes on the server due to the attention we've received but it still takes know how and practice to utilize the class to its fullest extent.

acius have you tried running with the new spells yet? i was a bit disappointed after the last patch mainly died a bunch but then i still have quite a ways to go gear wise but before the last patch i could solo in Tx as long as i kept my eye on my hp bar and had good luck with my life taps after the last patch i had to go back to my earlier taps and things are still kind of rough that being said i should be way over geared for that zone as i am working n my new armor and have most of the other slots including weapons from the new zones (dont know if this is a result of not having the new focus effect augs yet) but my new duration tap was healing for around 127hp a tick that is more funny than useful with the swap to the new weapon i am down to 2 life tap procks from 3 with the old one as i dont have the 60k weapon aug
i might have to just go back to leaning on hot potions and Decripid skin as I Solo and dont box so healing is much tighter with the loss of i guess an inadvertent large life tap we had for a bit had a short duration buff that fire in the song window when you cast it (sorry i dont know the name now as it vanished with the last update)

It still works as of last night but I found it more funny than useful too, ROFL. My gear sucks so I'm switch back to our tacvi weap because I just can't hold up with only 1 life tap. (I don't have two augs yet). Not complaining, but hopefully I should have another lifetap Aug in a few days.

Its 10% of the alpha weapon damage so the more gear you have the more powerful it becomes. Its totally worth using.
