Currently on Imperium, 2 hand weapons are not a viable option for melee characters. This is mainly due to the fact that the damage variance (minimum damage to maximum damage) has a very large range in which the average damage with stat loss due to no offhand item ends up being less than a sword/board or Dual Wield alternative.
As a potential solution, the song "Jonthan's Mightful Caretaker Rk. III" increases minimum melee damage by 276%. If this were added as a proc to the already existing Infused 2 Handed Damage Aug, this should increase the minimum damage value which would increase the average damage thus increasing overall DPS. The benefits include not requiring modification to all 2 handed weapons in existence as this could be added to anything with a Type 7 slot and the buff already exists within the data base for ease of implementation.
