Hello, the last 3 tiers of Synth gear are:
Adamantite rec:80
Titanium rec:85
Damascus rec:90
With the max level being 80, this renders damascus to be essentially inferior to adamantite both for leveling and at 80. I didn't crunch the math but a casual glance suggests titanium is better than adamantite, but by less than it should be.
Here is an example of unmodded and modded. The foci bonus are better, but the stats are not.
