Hello, I'm fairly new here but I've noticed that we see item changes happen fairly often (once a week sometimes more) that make some items previously attained unusable.
I have no knowledge if its possibly to add the "sell" function back to the vendors for the ntov/tacvi/time/etc raid vendors. the sell button is in the inventory of the vendor window but not sure if it can be enabled.
if that can't be done, could we possibly get a new npc similar to what you did near the greedy goblin. just use a text list of the current prices of those raid items and let us give the item to the npc and the npc exchanges them for the original currency needed to purchase.
I think this is a fairly simple way to let the player base know that while balance is important, our time invested is just as important. at least with a refund the time spent acquiring the currency or items wasn't for nothing.

You can hand in the +1 and +2 items created from those merchants to Convertatron in the guild hall. He will give back the cost of the alteration crystals used to make the items. There is no refund for greedy goblin augments or ornaments.

There is no issue I see here. I have told you what we put in, you get some back for those purchases. Resale value is what it is.
As far as the rebalances, these do not happen frequently but there are times where we make a few needed changes. Nothing has gone back and forth once the change is in it is in.

As far as the rebalances, these do not happen frequently but there are times where we make a few needed changes. Nothing has gone back and forth once the change is in it is in. i've only been playing about a month and others have noticed more changes than i have. deaths head mace for example didn't have a lore tag and could be used in secondary. both of those changed so can't use more than 1 and can't use in offhand. same thing for rapier for bard mistigaan aug for monks don't mistake this for complaining or confrontational, i'm just stating that everquest progression requires people put time into this game. if you're still fine tuning balance and everything else, thats great! thank you! but in your journey to reach your vision of what EQ should play like, the people that are here playing get shafted on their time that they spent playing when you tell them to "Eat it" on major item changes like this. its one thing to nerf an item so its not as effective but still usable, whats happening here is that item is 100% no longer usable at all. period. i can't use it. i bought it, it was usuable then, now its not. now you can call this a non issue sure. it will go away, and the population will continue to spike then fade away. theres good helpful people that come along and want to make this server their EQ home. People that donate, donate their time to help others, making guides, flagging, etc... you might not directly be trying to be disrespectful of their time spent, but it certainly feels that way. if you went to work for 8 hours a day, got your pay check and then a week later they somehow took that money you worked for back, is that a non issue? i certainly would have a problem with that. with the current state of the game, spell damage vs white damage and so forth, i imagine theres going to be a lot more of these kinds of patches where things are taken away rather than buffed. it makes more sense to me to get some sort of refund system in place so it prevents some of the backlash from any balance change, item nerf, etc when it comes to the respecting the playerbase. cool server here, just giving feedback.

Did you just compare a game to a job?
