NOTE: There's very little info on the forums about the proc store. I wasn't aware of it until just recently when watching Skarr's Friday night stream. This guide is a work-in-progress based on information I've gathered from discord, a video from Sturm, and my own personal experience (which is pretty limited). I've created a wiki page about it and plan to update both this thread and the wiki as more info is gathered. Any information you can give to help fill out this guide would be great.
What is the proc store?
So you've got a couple of Morpheus Tokens and you bought an ornament from the vendors in guild lobby. You love the way it looks but you wish it would do more than just look pretty. Well, thanks to the proc store, it can! The proc store is a group of NPCs that allow you to add stats and proc/focus effects to your ornaments.
How does it work?
There are two parts to the proc store. First, you have to unlock the proc effects that you want. Then you create an order to add the effects to your ornament.
How do I unlock effects?
There are two types of effects: procs and sympathetic effects (also know as focus effects). Procs are used on weapons and have a chance to trigger while fighting. Sympathetic effects are put on items that go in the secondary slot and have a chance to trigger when you cast a spell. There are two NPCs that will unlock the effects for you: Maleficent (#zone guildlobby -111 189 0) for procs and Smemorina (#zone guildlobby -111 166 0) for sympathetic effects.
Talk to the NPC and they will display various effects for you to unlock. The top level effects are Direct Damage, Damage Over Time and Healing. These effects have child effects for you to unlock. For instance, Under direct damage is Fire, Ice and Magic. Under Healing is Direct Healing and Heal over Time. In order to unlock a child effect (ex: Fire DD) you must unlock the parent first. For example to unlock Fire DD, you must unlock Direct Damage and then unlock Fire DD.
There are some top-level effects that are not available until you unlock other effects. For example, to get access to Damage Over Time effects you must unlock Direct Healing, Heal Over Time, Fire DD, Magic DD, and Ice DD. To unlock the AoE categories you must unlock all the other categories first.
Each child effect has a rank and can go all the way up to rank 12. Here's the full skill tree unlocked (thanks Bupu!).
Great! I'm going to unlock all of these now and create a super powerful ornament!
Good luck, but it will take time and money. Each unlock costs 1 million pp and you can only unlock once every 18 hours.
How do I add the effects to my ornament?
There are three NPCs in the guild lobby that will add the effect to your ornament. They are based on the ornament you want to upgrade:
- Fauna (#zone guildlobby -148 166 0) - secondary ornaments
- Flora (#zone guildlobby -165, 168, 0) - armor ornaments
- Merryweather (#zone guildlobby ) - weapon ornaments
The general steps to add the effect are:
- Give your ornament to the appropriate NPC
- Click on stats menu
- Choose at least one stat to increase. If you don't choose a stat then your order won't go through. A cheap stat to increase is HP.
- If you want to add a proc/focus, that is at the bottom of the stats menu.
- Click finalize and the NPC will ask you for a certain amount of pp to complete your order.
- Wait until after the Sunday reboot
- After the reboot hail the NPC and click on reclaim to get your ornament back
You have a limited number of points to spend and each stat increase costs a certain number of pp. The amount of pp is variable based on the stat you are increasing. You get a certain number of points each week and they do not rollover, so feel free to spend them all each week.
Below is a screenshot of what the stats menu looks like.
Wait, I need to wait until after the reboot to get my ornament back?
Yes! If your ornament currently has some stats/effects and you want to upgrade it more, you probably want to wait until Sunday morning to turn it into the NPC, so you get the benefits of the ornament up until the reboot.
Can I have more than one proc on my ornament?
No! You can have only a single proc/focus effect on your ornament.
Can I replace an effect?
Yes! You can replace a previous effect with a new one.
I'm going to add sympathetic effects to all my armor ornaments so I'm triggering spells all the time!
Sorry, but armor ornaments can only get stat upgrades. You cannot add sympathetic effects to armor ornaments.
Anything else I should know?
You can upgrade one of each type of ornament each week: weapon, offhand (shield), and armor.
