I'm curious if I'm missing something on cleric. Raw heals is important now with the difficulty of the OoW mobs but I'm not sure if it justifies playing a cleric.
Healing: Cleric wins out hands down. Shaman and Druid are mostly equivalent. Cleric > Shaman = Druid
Buffs: Hand of Temerity is the only buff worth casting and it's not noteworthy. Shaman > Druid = Cleric
Short Buffs: Cleric has none? Where druid has Skin of the Reptile and Shaman has Languor, both of which are tremendously helpful, cleric has nothing of note? Druid > Shaman > Cleric
Nukes: Shaman > Druid > Cleric
Dots: Druid > Shaman > Cleric
Utility: Slows, Snares, Roots, etc. Shaman > Druid > Cleric.
I feel like Cleric has potential, but I'm not seeing it. Do vow of victory of ward of requital proc fairly often and do decent damage? Is the reverse damage shield worthwhile?
Teach me the how we're supposed to play Cleric endgame here.

I did some more testing as a "battle cleric".
The defensive proc scales well with dex, on a decent sized pull those 10 procs are gone quickly. The offensive proc is also powerful. Decent damage, high proc rate, heal recourse (overwrites regular HoT unfortunately).
I was maintaining Yaulp. On paper it sounds very useful.
Spell wise, I found the stun line to be sort of useful. Quick cast AE spell. I had like 8 of them on my bar at one point and on two macros to be able to use them consistently even with the long CD. The biggest issue with these stun spells are the range. They don't seem to register hitboxes correctly so melee range isn't actually close enough. I was pulling groups and had to stand right on top of them to make them land.
The ability to heal yourself is great, but it's clunky. The fact that heals don't default target yourself if you have an enemy targeted is very unfortunate but a /target [yourname], /pause 3, /cast X works. You immediately can tab back.
I could see Cleric being a not terrible solo class but I maintain my original post that they're not great support.

I want to get in on this because I recently leveled a druid to 80 to help heal on the 3.0 fights, and fear I may end up rerolling cleric. The druid has long cooldowns on their heal...like long cooldowns with respect to the damage that is put out on us. In terms of raw heal power, I feel like, hands down, Cleric is the class to choose due to their faster casting heals, shorter cooldowns, and multiple sources of healing. As far as soloing, I loved them because of their melee proc + recourse and the fact that they had plate armor.
In My particular example, I feel like I might regret going druid because my sole reason for playing one is to heal 3.0 mobs. On the other hand, the druid reactionary heals are very useful, and if coupled with a cleric of equally raw heal power, together, they might make the 3.0 fights reasonably accomplishable.
What does a cleric bring to the table? Raw Healing Power, dont take it lightly. the scale is tipped so far in one direction that the druids and shaman need to stand together on the opposite end just to float the scale.

Here in a couple weeks i'll play around with this =) I currently play a Cleric on Live. and i'll have you know that there are current items that you can get in GoD that make clerics king fuzzy rainbow kitten all for later shit too!
An example would be the DA hammer out of Griegs end. have that and the melee reactive dmg shield that clerics get (not sure the bonuses etc on the actual spell etc for dmg) and the heal over times etc = Clerics can swarm pull! The DA hammer out of Griegs End does not have a cooldown or a number of a fatigue detriment of how many times in a row it can proc!
Stay tuned i'll do a full report on this in the weeks to come! =D

Clerics can swarm pull with ward up, it has 10 procs and no cool down! Vow of valor and divine avatar? Are amazing. The OOW chest gives 50% heal bonus for 1:20.
I like the hammer of hours holy vengence (cleric time hammer) for its inate group proc because it's like having another 700+ HP/s group tik. I would love to be pointed to other weapon procs that I can check out.
Currently I go between time hammer or MM battle staff, but am looking for something else with bigger DD's or group heal procs. The aura hammer I'll have to check out, maybe we can get a ward hammer that procs 3 charges maybe? Not really interested in abyss weapons on him.
