Arek Guides: Beginner's Manual (Server Tips & Tricks)
Step 1: Go to Options, Keys, select UI, find "Paste from Clipboard" and choose a key.
Step 2: Copy a #zone macro here, press enter in-game to open chat, then press your paste key.
Note: Never use exact coordinates. This will cause problems for the server.
Note: All #zone macros here are safe and tested. They should bring you to a safe spot.
1. Set up your UI as you like it. I recommend at least two chat boxes, one for chat and one for combat stuff. At least three hotbars for spells/abilities, macros, buff clickies, and dot/debuff clickies. Most clickies can be used by any class.
Link: Example UI
2. Open your AA window and learn everything you can. Lesson of the Devoted, Infusion of the Faithful, and Steadfast Servant are very important for later. Some classes might have another free AA like Shadow Knight's Harmtouch or Paladin's Lay on Hands.
3. Complete the "Basic Training" task to receive Kobold Skull Charm and Imperiums Fury.
4. Kill Slavemaster Ruga and loot Flutterwing's Unhatched Sibling. Give the item to Flutterwing. Do this twice for two rings. If you struggle to do this now, you can come back after the Crescent Reach section below. Keep in mind that once you reach level 20 you will be locked out of this zone.

Guild Lobby: #zone guildlobby - This zone is the main hub of the server and contains important merchants, services, and custom tasks. It is recommended that you speak with each NPC and learn what they can do for you. Some merchant inventories will expand as you gain levels so check them once in a while. You will be frequently using the Buff Master NPC to get very helpful buffs. The number and strength of buffs you receive will increase as you gain levels.
1. Type "#zone guildlobby" to enter Guild Lobby.
2. /hail Grandmaster Guru and click [train] to learn any missing or secret spells and discs.
#zone guildlobby -44 306 10
3. /hail Rosetta Stone and click [languages] to instantly max out all of your language skills.
#zone guildlobby -66 322 10
4. Purchase 1 Staff of Second Chances and at least 20 Misty Thicket Picnic from Merchant Drake.
#zone guildlobby -74 424 10
Note 1: If you can't afford the staff, come back later after the Crescent Reach section below.
Note 2: If you don't see an item in Merchant Drake's inventory, you may not be high enough level yet.
Note 3: Staff of Second Chances can be used to resurrect yourself and return 96% of the XP you lost from dying.
If you have any damaging spells, even if you're a hybrid class like Shadow Knight, equip the staff and your spells will do
much more damage than melee attacks for quite a while due to the high Spell Dmg stat. Destroy any other food you
have and place the Misty Thicket Picnic at the front of your inventory for another large stat gain.
5. Merchant Draco sells many class reagents such as Bone Chips, Tiny Dagger, arrows, Vial of Prismatic Dye, and many other oddities including a very powerful endgame consumable called Super SoW Potion. Be sure to check out his inventory once in a while.
#zone guildlobby -80 401 10
6. Speak to Tier One and click [task] to start the "Imperiums Fury/Majiks" quest chain.
#zone guildlobby -248 503 10
7. Speak to Total Recall and pick up all daily tasks you would like to complete to gain some money.
#zone guildlobby 67 503 10
8. Soulbinder Garnog will allow you to bind your soul here. A Disciple of Luclin nearby sells Water Flask for your convenience.
#zone guildlobby 290 424 10

9. Check out the vendor area for supplies such as newbie augments, potions, and Rogue poisons. You'll also find many endgame vendors here that offer ornaments and endgame items.
#zone guildlobby 185 220 10
Augments/Potions/Poisons:
1. The HoT (Heal over Time) augment is highly recommended for any melee/hybrid class that's lacking a healing spell. The DoT (Damage over Time) augment is recommended for hybrid classes who can already heal themselves. Classes that can dual wield can use both types or a combination of the other augments available. Feel free to experiment.
#zone guildlobby 252 262 10
2. There is a potion vendor for all classes, and a poison vendor for Rogues. Poisons are almost mandatory for Rogues and scale with Spell Dmg for great damage potential.
#zone guildlobby 121 191 10
1. Check out Geniveve (Tribute Master) to see what kind of services she can offer you in the future.
#zone crescent -1282 -1476 20
2. Purchase a few Backpack from Merchant Kaphiri on the first floor.
#zone crescent -1611 -1456 -80
3. Outside most mobs drop armor pieces that belong to a set. This is very good armor for beginners. Try to get all 8 pieces.

4. Reach level 20 before leaving.
Tribute Mechanics: Click on a Tribute Master like a vendor. Select an item in your inventory and its value will be displayed. Click donate to trade the item for the points. Scroll through the list and select up to five tribute benefits. To activate the benefits, open the Tribute window and click "Activate." The benefits will remain active until you deactivate them and points will be deducted every 10 minutes. Kunark and Velious raid boss loot yields the most points per item, but not all items can be donated. You may need to configure your keybindings to access the Tribute window. (Options->Keys)

Best Tribute Benefits:
1. Bulwark of Honor --- Increases the AC stat. (Good at Endgame)
2. Persistent Boon ----- Increases beneficial buff duration.
3. Power of Alacrity ---- Reduces the cast time of all spells.
4. Power of Sight ------ Increases the range of all spells.
5. Swift Arms ---------- Increases the melee haste stat. (Good at Endgame)
6. Twinge of Pain ------- Reduces the cast time of all damage over time spells.
7. Vengeful Aura ------- Increases the Attack stat. (Good at Endgame)
8. Fury of Combat ----- Increases chance to trigger a flurry of attacks. (Good at Endgame)
9. Eyes of the Hunter -- Increases melee accuracy. (Good at Endgame)
Note: Power of Alacrity and Twinge of Pain stack to reduce DoT cast times even further.
Note: The in-game description for Fury of Combat states that it increases chance to trigger a double attack. This is incorrect.
Early Money: You will need some money to purchase fairly important items in the Guild Lobby and/or Crescent Reach.
1. Sell gems and Pearlescent Drake Claw from a leaf drake or a hollows drake.
#zone crescent -2228 -1437 -200
2. Sell any extra CR gear you got while farming for your own equipment. Chests/Legs sell especially well.
Castle Mistmoore: #zone mistmoore - This zone will be used to gain a massive amount of levels in a short amount of time using special Veteran AAs. While killing, be sure to check corpses for Silverwing Loop.
1. Be sure the zone is empty or create an instanced zone (Master of Time in Guild Lobby). Activate Steadfast Servant, Lesson of the Devoted, and Infusion of the Faithful in that order.
2. Use DoTs, nukes, Rogue poisons, or anything else that benefits from the Spell Dmg stat and kill nearly everything in the zone. Stay away from Mayong Mistmoore's room. You should reach level 30-35.
3. Depending on your class, you can stay here until level 40, or move on to the next zone.
Karnor's Castle: #zone karnor - A good place to level up and loot a few gear upgrades. Many of the unique items here can be donated for a decent amount of tribute points so you can nab those nifty tribute benefits mentioned earlier, especially melee haste and spell haste. You can also work on the first "Imperiums Fury/Majiks" task here.
1. Level Up to 45+
2. Complete the first part of the fury task by looting the required amount of quest items.
3. Open a forge and search "imperium" to find the required recipe to combine the quest items.
#zone guildlobby -176 659 10
4. Give Tier One the forged items unstacked in a single trade. Lastly, give him your Imperiums Fury to receive an improved version.
