This quest requires you to pray in-front of Grand Historian Thoridain on live, but here on Imperium you must actually target the Historian while you pray for the Pattern to be rewarded to you.
Placing this little Tid-bit of info here in the Tradeskill forum as this quest series is very tradeskill heavy and it won't get lost here.
Please note that you must type the phrase exactly while targeting the Grand Historian.

Heh, that brings back some memories from Live. I did this one up until the final stages of the last Shawl (7th?). It required lots of different Tradeskills and I remember giving up halfway thru this final one (due to it needing Fletching Skill I believe). Luclin was already out and possibly PoP already so the reward was already outdated and I didnt see the point of working up my Fletching (for a druid!) up to 150 or so. I really thought that was a major flaw of Live. They would come out with very interesting and dynamic quests that took a lot of work to finish (but were considered doable without hard core raiding) but they never updated them so the rewards after all that work just really werent there by the time you could complete them (and the new expansion was out). Always wished they would have periodically updated quests like these to give them another level with a fresh expansion so you could keep working on them and still have a meaningful reward that you would actually keep equiped.

Small update on this, awhile ago I reworked this scripting. It now functions exactly the same way as on Live except the Pattern is placed on your cursor instead of spawning on the ground as a bag you must pick up.
You no longer are required to be targeting the Grand Historian.
