I have an Amulet of Xuzl from VT and tried using it yesterday. I was able to use the item and the sword would appear, but it would never attack anything that attacked me or that I attacked. The pet window appeared with every button disabled except for "Leave", which is correct as this is not a controllable pet.
I tried summoning it before entering combat (with nothing targeted) and then upon entering combat, the sword would zoom up to the NPC but never attack.
