Hey guys,
Just thought I would give some feedback from someone who had no infused items at all prior to the changes you made re: swirling sphere, aa xp in soldungc etc and who now has mostly finished (just a bracer and helm left to go).
Note: I am not talking about infused augments, this is mostly about pace to achieve the actual gear which I think is spot on right now!
Box: Warrior / Wiz
Bots: Cleric/Cleric/Rogue/Wiz
When I first started to hit soldungc I was in full muramite with Qvic/Inktu'ta non-visibles and jewelry on both boxes. It was slow and it was rough but it was doable. I died quite a bit on the pulls that resulted in 5+ mobs on me at once (no lull available to my box combo and FD pulling gets old, fast). The wizzy helped incredibly but clearing still took quite a while. I could manage to clear from entrance down to Barrel of Monkies, then to Vlad and start heading towards Cake before respawns would start to happen. The pull in the room just before Cake (where it splits off south to Steve the Pirate, north to the rest of the bosses and east to Cake) is ridiculously hard when undergeared and without lull. That was without a doubt the cause of probably 10-15 deaths for me alone and because of that pull for a few nights I just cleared Barrel and Vlad then switched over to Txevu to farm aug's.
With a combination of soldungc and txevu I banked quite a lot of aa's across both character's as well as collecting a decent amount of discord aug's so I popped into bazaar and bought 5 avatar essences for 2k a pop. Very reasonable. I then started to cash in 240 aa's on the wizard at a time and transferred the money across to Vallik. I got 3 pieces of Infused over the weekend and then averaged another piece every 2 nights and this is with very sporadic play time that includes a lot of afking in Guild Lobby/FD'd in Txevu while I run about the house.
As I got more and more of the Infused non-visibles from soldungc, and a few pieces of visible armour from time the clearing in soldunc became much quicker and easier. Warrior was able to tank bigger pulls a lot easier and the Wizard was able to nuke them down a lot quicker. This only made the rate of incoming aa's even quicker which in turn sped up how quickly I gained the next few infused pieces. As it stand's now I can almost (but not quite) spawn Zuul by myself which basically means clearing the entirety of soldungc in under the 1 hour spawn time.
TLDR version; For anyone setting their sight's on the Infused armour (and why wouldn't you!) but see's the price tag and has a heart attack, the recent changes allowing you to essentially sell aa's has made it a very achievable goal for anyone just through normal play. I did not go out of my way to maximise aa gain (I never even turned on lesson - doh), I did not go out of my way to farm plat. I just slowly cleared soldungc to gather non-visibles and slowly cleared Txevu to farm aug's. The Infused visibles came along with it. Even if I was to decide I wanted to go with full Infused aug's I can safely say I could average 2 aug's per night - 240 aa's in a night's play time per character (and that's my playtime - many of you could average a lot more!) is very achievable.
For custom content I think the dev's have nailed this one perfectly. Well done guys!
