As the title says, I'd like to know if there are any plans to give casters something as powerful as the Imperium's Fury for melees ? I just looked at the clicky effect, it's OMGness, from +15% to 150% +dmg modifiers is really a holy shit of dps increase for melee characters... I don't wish to get drawn into that everconflictual class balancing shit, but it would be awesome to know you guys give casters some love too

At the risk of getting into an argument, I'm not sure casters need it. I play many classes and some of the damage you can put out as a caster is just retarded.
The changes to heroic dex affected melee characters pretty noticeably so this is a nice way to balance it all out.
As it is, my Wizard alt can twincast an instant cast nuke and do over 150k damage. If I manage to twincast an AOE rain, that's 45k per hit to 3 mobs, 6 times. That's over 800k damage in 1 spell. He's not even that well geared, around Tacvi level. I know there are probably some melee toons that are fully maxed out that can do things like that but I think that if you boost spell damage any more than it already is with the current state of things, it'll just swing the pendulum too far the other way.

You're exactly right, these items are a way of balancing melee dps against caster dps. So at this time there are no plans on implementing a casters version. The hdex adjustment did hit melee extremely hard when it comes to their dps and procs.

if this was ment to be a balance item why was pryme on today saying this is only a "fun" quest and not a needed item and why is it not a one time grind to get and then have it unlock for the account bc i sure dont see this being a fun repeatable quest at the moment spent a huge amount on non fun aka bad old days of eq random drop generator badluck foraging fun 3 and a half hours trying to get pebbles and dragon eggs (yes in the correct zone but very bad luck even with the double forage aa for the dragon eggs)

May not be your flavor of fun badrock, but why try and force your flavor on everyone else, you finished it from the sounds of it, u know u dont like it, so don't do it again, pretty sure you could stick with a rk ii on people and be content with the damage. Also if RNG is not fun I don't understand why you play eq, it's all about that RNG!! Then again thats my mind being small. You enjoy the fights and such, playing with friends. But the RNG is still a huge part seems it even has it's ways in certain fights =D

Can't really say anything without upsetting someone Adon.
As far as I'm concerned, I don't mind earning my items. Some people seem to think that the items are owed to them and that time and effort have no place in progression. Personally I'm tired of things being balanced for the lazy, every game created in the last 10 years has been constantly watered down to cater for the retards who can't be bothered putting in time or effort to achieve anything, and it makes things so boring. I'd rather work hard and feel some sense of achievement once I obtain something.

Vinlar has already said it, no plans for a caster version of this atm. The entire reason I decided to make these clickies was because I knew once we nerfed H dex melee dps would drop. Pryme is not wrong in saying these are not needed because there not. The end stuff can be killed without them, the fights may just last a little longer. They in no shape or form boost any type of mitigation, only raw dps. ATM casters are parsing above average dps so they are just fine imo.

When I can see casters pulling half the of a blue zone at once like melee do, I'll believe the 'casters are op' stuff.

I routinely do this with my wizard. My warrior needs to tank those mobs for a minute or more waiting for procs which gets dicey. My wizard pulls half the zone and AE's them down as they run into the kill zone. It takes at most 2 AE's to kill each mob, generally only 1. Tell me again how casters can't pull half a zone?

I can clear PoFire in 2 or 3 PBAE casts on my Wizard, pull the entire zone and PBAE. If it weren't for the named mobs in the pull, it would be 1 cast. Wizards are probably able to exp faster than any other class in the game, and they are truly pure casters, they have nothing else to support them except their spells.
My Wizard can twincast an instant cast nuke and do 150k damage, or over 800k damage if I twincast crit an AOE rain. If I actually added up all the damage I did with a zonewide pull PBAE twincast crit, I'm sure it would be in the millions.
The grass is always greener, but then this is why I play all the classes. I find it's very helpful to understand each class and learn how they work and what they can do.
I see SK's destroying content but then mine doesn't. It's because of the gear gap. It's because they know how to play their SK better than I know how to play mine. It's easy to look at other people doing something amazing and feel that you've been ripped off but 99% of the time there's a lot more to it.

Yes, the grass is always greener, I shouldn't have brought this up, let's stop with class A is OP (or UP) in regard to class B.

While a dps increase for casters isn't necessarily warranted, I would think that perhaps a mitigation boost could be justifiable, given the extremely different ac and defense calculations for casters (specifically the silkies) than the rest of the classes.
Perhaps giving them the ability to be able to main tank raid targets might be too much, but I'm sure they would surely appreciate - and not become too OP - if they were given the ability to mass pull and survive zones the same way other classes (usually tanks, to be fair) can. (Since acknowledging mostly tanks, this mitigation buff could probably be also fairly warranted for other classes besides silkies)

It's not a dig at you Adon. It's very common for people to see others do something impressive on another class and feel like they are underpowered in comparison. It seems that it's human nature to always compare ourselves to others, even in a game.
I'm sure people look at what I can do on Konba and are jealous, but the I look at what Acius can do and I feel the same way. Ultimately though, the bottom line is that he put in the time and effort both to gear his toon and to learn how to play it, far more so than I have on mine. He has all the augments, I don't. He spent the time farming and grinding to get his 60k augments, I didn't. He spent a ton more time farming clickies and learning all the mechanics of his class.
Rather than comparing ourselves to everyone else, there's three things we should be doing.
The first thing we should be doing is comparing ourselves to ourselves; are we better today than we were yesterday? This is not just in relation to gear, but also to knowledge and skill. Can I achieve something today that was beyond me yesterday? Do I know more than I did yesterday?
The second thing we should be doing is having a good, long look at what the server is designed to provide. What did the GM's promise us would be the basis for this server? Is my character able to perform within that framework? If not, why not? Am I not playing properly or is there an inherent flaw with the class that I play that's preventing me from doing these things? Other people have done it so it must be possible, what am I doing wrong?
There aren't too many things that annoy me more than seeing someone complain about not being able to do something when they haven't even tried. I see people moaning about how their character is underpowered and can't beat this content, and yet I've seen people playing the exact same class breeze past it. Why does this happen? I can tell you now, it's got nothing to do with your class.
Thirdly and finally, and this is the most important thing. I keep saying this in game to new people asking some of these questions too. Who really cares if you can't do what the next person is doing? Why does it matter? What matters is you are having fun, it is a GAME. If you are enjoying yourself, then just enjoy it. If you aren't, the problem is not the server, it's something to do with you, and you need to work it out. There have been countless others that have come through and had a great time, why are you different?
This is not aimed at anyone in particular, it's just a growing trend I've seen over the last decade or so, and it's alive and thriving here too, unfortunately.
