To my knowledge the Necromancer is the only pet that has a monk pet. Here is the list of all of its moves. Flying Kick, Double Attack, Flurry,Duel Wield, and Lifetap. With the new weapons having additional damage added to eagle strike and not flying kick, will this be a new thing added to support the Draco merchant mace summoning weapon of bashing? Or should the weapon stats be changed to support a really strong flying kick? Whats everyone's thoughts on this.
I don't have a 80 necromancer so if there are any necro's out there that can comment on this, do they have a high level monk pet that uses eagle strike?

The Magician Air pet is a Monk too. There is a debate about this :-) What is sure is it can kick, but it totally ignores what a Flying Kick is, see the pet parse thread. I was wondering if our nec friends can confirm whether their monk pet can FK ?

Well, if Emu has replicated the live pets, then it's a Monk. It's been a Monk since quite early on in the game. I think from 54 onwards.
Ultimately, the pet's class is pretty much irrelevant as it's the ABILITY that we are concerned with. I'm not even sure that the class has any relevance at all regardless of the context, as I'm pretty sure that a class simply refers to a combination of abilities and traits, it's a package. I'm sure if the coding enabled Bards to use Flying Kick, then they could. I think what we need to be looking at is, what skills does the Air pet have enabled to use?
And more importantly, we need to give kick back to snakes.

Uhh, guys. Doesn't #mystats while targeting your pet show you a breakdown of everything from stats to class?
