Aug that on backstab resets backstab aug that procs double/triple damage on your next backstab if done in 10 seconds aug that procs a BLEED dot on backstab based off the max damage of the backstab aut that procs a hard to resist stun on backstab aug that on backstab procs a Heal aug that on backstab procs a HOT aug that on backstab procs a Rune aug that on backstab procs a damage mitigation of 33% for 5 seconds aug that on backstab procs riposte all for 3 seconds aug that on backstab procs avoid all for 3 seconds

I don't play a rogue here but I really like the idea of a frontal cone proc that throws knives applying poison to all targets in front on say a backstab or w/e.

So I switched to my rogue as a main and the two things that stick out to me as useful are Acius' suggestion and maybe something similar to the Wizard front-runner, where a condition is met where you can 'backstab flurry' or something to that accord.

the frontal cone proc is cool, id go a step frather and make it hit twice, once as melee knives and the other as poison dot

Having spent a lot of time on my rogue as a main I'd say anything to make backstab more standout gets a thumbs up.

Can you make the variance in the backstab damage smaller, so it hits for max damage more often? The range in the damage is fairly extreme. One second I hit for 2k, the next I hit for 20k.

after testing my test rogue with the new melee enhancement the variance while still there is much better than before. Average bs with no augs was 37k, crit was 88k. Sometimes a smal one sneaks in but thats just how the dice rolls sometimes.
