I'm running into an issue getting the game to even launch. I downloaded the v1.8 file file from the guide, but when running imperiumlauncher.exe, I get a .net framework exception. I attached a screenshot, but here's a copy/paste of the error:
I've already checked and I have the latest .net framework installed, and the file was not extracted to a location that should require any UAC protected permissions. Not sure what to check next.
EDIT: First line in the details section says the following:
Does this mean that the server is refusing the connection for some reason? A whois lookup on that ip doesn't give a whole lot of details, but tnc shows that the server is listening on port 80 and reachable from my machine:
EDIT 2: Looks like they're aware of the issue. Found the following message in discord:
The 'exe' they mention is the eqgame.exe found in the folder

Okay, so right click the exe, make a shortcut
Drag the shortcut out, then rightclick the shortcut and go to properties
In the "target" section, add patchme at the end
mine looks like "C:\Users\dabbe\Desktop\Imperium RoF2\eqgame.exe" patchme
Then use that shortcut to launch
