Hello everyone!
A short backstory: I was really involved with the original EQ (probably in an unhealthy way), and eventually had to quit to avoid flunking out of college. About 8 years ago (now well into my adult years) I discovered Imperium with a few real life friends and just absolutely loved it. It was an amazing way to revisit EQ without having to worry about making raids and dedicating time to the guild. I was able to revisit a lot of the nostalgic zones/quests on my own time. I even met a new friend that helped me with content I was never able to do in the real EQ (e.g. the Sleeper!) I was very impressed with the scaling you did with this server. You made completing raid content possible with 1-2 people 2-boxing, while keeping the challenge, and still leaving me with a sense of accomplishment. I was also impressed with the GM support that was provided. You guys promoted fairness and good sportsmanship, and you helped me resolve a conflict I had with another member who was being dishonorable.
Having said all that, I am really looking forward to starting up again! Unfortunately I had to leave my old desktop behind during an international move, and so I have to start from scratch.
I downloaded the Imperium RoF2 client, recovered my EQEmu account, created desktop shortcut, and changed properties of said shortcut to [ "...\Desktop\Imperium RoF2\eqgame.exe" patchme ]. When I try to log into the client through the desktop shortcut using my EQEmu credentials, I get the message "DB Error - Invalid Password". I know I'm using the right password because I can use these credentials to log into EQEmu. Can anyone shed some light on what I might be doing wrong? I watched Castious' video and followed the instructions, but I'm still not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Thank you in advance for your help!
