While yes, everyone deserves community, only those that earn it should see endgame (preferably though a solo flagging process or series of quests, instead of being dragged through a guild event). Having watched certain people continue to AFK at a zone in while others do the work for them is pretty disheartening. In addition, there will be scaling going forward, so if you can't pull your own weight then you are only dragging everyone else down. If you as a guild feel that you are ok with such an arrangement, don't assume everyone else is. And that's why I stopped playing. Greater restrictions freeze out those who are new to the server. The more flagging and hoops people have to jump through so they can do the fun stuff, the less likely they are to stay on the server. It might be OK if you've done your flagging 12+ months ago, so you've only got one minor step to be raid ready, but when you've got everything in front of you, some of it requiring a group, and you do a /w all and find 15 people online, 12 in nexus and bazaar, it might be a little overwhelming. The scaling should have fixed the issue of people going AFK at zone in. The scaling should have restricted the amount of people coming in time or tacvi gear with no augs, looking for an easy leg up. When you play "non-core" server hours, you want as many people who join the server in that timeslot to stay as long as possible. The more that quit and leave and the more the server heads to content requiring groups, the less viable it is to stay here. Being Elitist doesn't help the community, which thrived on inclusion when I joined the server, not on exclusion. It's basically Fabled PoTime again.

Appreciate the sentiments all, but the ntov stuff dropped today confirmed my concerns. Definitely time to move on. Have fun all, I had a blast.

So let's take a minute to break this down:
"Greater restrictions freeze out those who are new to the server." I should hope so, they've never done anything why should they be in the very end-game zone?
"The more flagging and hoops people have to jump through so they can do the fun stuff, the less likely they are to stay on the server." Last I checked we're playing Everquest. The fun is not the destination it's adventures you have on that journey.
"The scaling should have fixed the issue of people going AFK at zone in. The scaling should have restricted the amount of people coming in time or tacvi gear with no augs, looking for an easy leg up." Fabled Tacvi was designed to be done duo+. If you flagged noobs to stand at the zone in, well that's on you. Fabled Time probably should have had some locks to enter, but I didn't add those. Who players choose to invite is not up to me. You play the game, you get what you put in.
"When you play "non-core" server hours, you want as many people who join the server in that timeslot to stay as long as possible. The more that quit and leave and the more the server heads to content requiring groups, the less viable it is to stay here." If you're looking for players to play with, you should befriend players that play during your time slot. Offer them help, play together, start your own West Coast, East Coast, EU, Aussy ect.. guilds and support eachother. (This doesn't mean fast tracking them through the entirety of the servers content, holding someones hand and roflstomping everything for them is not helping them, that is what causes players to leave faster because there's nothing left for them to do except grind the endgame raids. They didn't really get to experience the adventure getting there so the achievement ultimately means nothing.)
"Being Elitist doesn't help the community, which thrived on inclusion when I joined the server, not on exclusion." Can't agree enough on this point, but I also can't stop people from playing with whoever they desire.
"It's basically Fabled PoTime again." I agree that Fabled Time was done poorly when it originally released, but that was due to item drops and has been revamped. That's not the case here as points are rewarded for each event you complete just like Fabled Time is now. I'm sorry you feel it's time to move on, but this is a case of you not wanting to put in the extra work to gain entry and not a fault on the server or the content.
On behalf of Bupu and I, we wish you well in the future and will miss you during our adventures here on Imperium. Until we meet again: Happy Adventuring.

Sturm, there are so many incorrect assumptions in your post, but I'm going to focus on a couple.
I'm already flagged for Fabled NToV on at least one toon. I needed to do AG-W and AG-E on a second. Given I soloed AG-W on the first toon, it wasn't a concern. My concern was for those who feel locked out of playing the fun stuff.
I invited every EU and Australian player I could to our guild, so that they felt part of the community. I helped Neph guys with epics that played the odd hour. Almost none of them are around.
No other raid needs three different raids completed to get access to (none of which has anything to do with NToV in a role playing sense).
You've forgotten that this whole idea, started from a post I'd put up offering suggestions and saying add some grind. I'm not worried about work in game. Bring it on, I'd done almost all the grind in game, some of them multiple times over.
I am concerned about the lack of numbers online when I played. EQ is a mmorpg. And while I'm happy to avoid the massive, the multi-player aspect doesn't exist when there's no one left to talk to.
Your response is sadly pretty typical. Whilst I admire your pride and desire to make an awesome server (and it largelyis), you do have a tendency to react strongly when something negative is said.
Never mind, que sera Sera. Enjoy your dragon slaying!

I don't even know what to say to that, you're quitting because other people are going to need to do quests to access the very last of the current end-game? Or as you put it "the fun stuff".
That makes no sense to me at all, the fun stuff is playing period, not which zone you're in. Progressing your character and enjoying the time you spend in-game is "the fun stuff".
If I reacted strongly, which I don't think I did. I'm simply offering my opinion on your post nothing more, not even directed to you personally, but I apologize if it came off that way. From my point of view, you're over-reacting to the situation before you've even tried it.
Regardless, it was nice getting to know you a little over the years and your presence will be missed in-game and in chat. Take care of yourself.
