Hey everyone! First, let me say this server is absolutely incredible. I love it and by far has been the one I've stuck with the longest. I've poured a ton of time into it and still have so much more to do. That said, just a fun suggestions that's come up a lot for me.
I'm a dad of two with a third in the near future. My EQ time is very, very irregular and spotty. I've managed to, for the most part, get a few prestiges done and full abyss infused (including augments), and am half way through duoing (with my box) the Ashengate North Raid Expedition - request task list, so I can request it for others. I''m having an absolute blast. It's tough, slow, requires thoughtful pulling and Fding sometimes, but that's what I remember and love about it. I'm NOT looking to blitz through it.
I was just curious if you have ever considered plans to allow solo folks who can't reliably be online to catch an ftacvi raid or ftime raid, to somehow work towards earning those points in a slower fashion? Something perhaps like a scaled down ftacvi, that only awards 2-3 points, requires 2-5 well geared players (let's say full abyss infused and maybe a piece or two of paz)? It would flag you so you cannot do both, meaning those who have the time will run the normal group and get their 8 points, but those who cannot, will save it and try to team up with one other player and run it as 4, to get themselves a few points. It's still going to take me x3 as long to get anything, but at least I'll know that I'll be slowly working towards it and that it's not going to remain a 'never' for me...
I'm having a blast regardless and will try to find some time to get in there, but just wanted to toss this out in case it was a thought shared by anyone else!
Thanks Sturm/Bopu!

So Fabled Tacvi was designed with that in mind. During testing Sturm and I ran our mains through the fights it is difficult but can be duo'd with the right classes. Now when I say duo'd I do mean 2 people at the keyboard as things can get dicey if you are trying to box. Some of the mobs in there can be solo'd. The runs you see being called are players zerking the zone, this is faster and takes less skill.
As for the fabled time mobs, these are available in the newly released Monster Arena. The more players you bring the harder the mobs, how ever players have proven that these mobs can be done with a max group of 6, in many cases less. The bonus is you are taking on 1 mob at a time and not the entire raid event.

Fabled Tacvi has been solo'd (1 player and his box) by several people.

Fabled Tacvi has been solo'd (1 player and his box) by several people. Maybe, but how many of those people did it with Abyss Infused Armor and a couple of bits of Paz, like the poster has suggested? I'd imagine the people soloing were likely to have had LA, Fabled Time or some Tacvi gear already.

You have to have Ashengate North flags just to go to fabled Tacvi, therefore it can be assumed that you have picked up some items from end game content.

Ashengate North only requires a TSS flag (which is pretty easy to do) and then a kind soul to take them through AGN to get to Tacvi. So I've been taking people with abyss (and less) through AGN over the past month, so they can join the Friday night server fun.

So I've been taking people with abyss (and less) through AGN over the past month, so they can join the Friday night server fun. I think this is the point that is being missed. To a lot of you, taking someone else through takes 20 minutes of your time, no big deal. The point I'm making however is that it creates a reliance on this happening. No longer is this a solo/duo server. It's now a 'get this far, and then wait until someone runs you through like a parent running through a child' experience. No longer do I get the experience as my own, with the deaths, trial and tribulations that make it fun. Now it's just a world of warcraft 'accomplish X, to unlock Y, so I can run Z daily'... Surely that was never the intention. And while it's great that it happens, and many enjoy it (much faster) the original point of the thread was to point out that for those of us that cannot attend the regular nightly raids as our schedules don't permit, but do enjoy picking away at this stuff, is there a way for us to experience it at a different pace that isn't gated behind a ringer running us through. Bopu seems to have answered this and if true, then it should be a moot point. Bopu mentioned that ftacvi is in fact doable, by two people at the keyboard, with well geared characters. That's great and will allow me to get this done in time, quicker as time goes on. So with that I think I have my answer

So with that I think I have my answer It has been stated a few times over the years that this is a solo/duo for MOST content server. The end end game was always meant to be done by several people in a group. Having said that if you had the right classes as bupu said, with full abyss and good augs, you should be able to solo or box f tacvi. Obviously a wizard is not going to tank CMTV. But a tank with a dps/or heal is doable. However, I would encourage you to join one of the 3-4 a day some of the guilds run that everyone is invited to. If there is a specific time that you can make during the day you might even find 2-3 other people who would do it with you at that time and make your own crew. Solo/duo is fun and challenging don't get me wrong, but community is one the things that make games like this have the staying power they do. Make friends, overcome challenges together! Hope to see you on a run!

You are more than welcome to do all the necessary flagging to request the Ashengate line of dungeons and not forcing you through a process. I'm taking time out of my game time so that others can experience things that I enjoy doing. No hidden agenda to it.
