Skirmish Overview:
Raistlin seeks to control the immense power of the Wizard Spires. In an effort to gain control of the spires magic Raistlin has coerced and bent the wills of local inhabitants, using his dark magic he's distorted the power of these monsters and has sent them forth on multiple fronts in attempt to split our strength and whittle us down until control over the spires has been achieved. Scouts have been dispatched around Norrath and initial reports indicate eminent attacks are heading for the spires in or near Kithicor Forest, Lesser Faydark, the Dreadlands and Skyfire Mountains. A defensive spot has been selected in each region where we will intercept the enemy and repel their assault. An all out request for additional troops has been issued and all able bodied adventurers of 75 or more seasons are being conscripted. Please make haste and speak to Quartermaster Ash in the Guild Lobby to join the Forces of a United Norrath.
Quartermaster Ash will act as the liaison between Adventurers and the F.U.N. Army Command. He has been outfitted with equipment to help aid those Adventurers that prove their strength on the battlefield at the cost of Orum. Orum is a new currency that can only be obtained by participating in the Skirmishes. In addition he is also able to instantly transport you to the battlefield of a selected region upon request.
All Adventurers will begin at the Rank of Recruit and be given an Insignia to display on their Chest. As you continue to do battle and aid in each Skirmish a record of your exploits will be kept and reviewed. When sufficient experience has been met on the battlefield Quartermaster Ash will promote your standing in the F.U.N. Army. With each promotion a new Insignia will be given to replace the old.
Special Note: You have 5 minutes from the time of the world shout to hail the Field Marshal NPC and be recorded in his ledger, failure to do so will result in not obtaining any rewards for you exploits in the Skirmish.
Skirmishes last for 45 minutes. The more Named you manage to kill, the more rewards you will obtain at the end.

What are the chances that these could last forever, or rather until the group in the zone no longer wanted to do it? Is this to prevent camping it? Just curious.

Did the quest with Pryde today. Told me "I'm Sorry you are not on the list." He got the rewards, I did not.
*edit* I would like to think I hailed him, but not 100% certain.

What are the chances that these could last forever, or rather until the group in the zone no longer wanted to do it? Is this to prevent camping it? Just curious. They last 45 minutes as there has to be an end somehow. I originally had it so when you managed to spawn and kill a Boss that ended the event, but that only allowed you to obtain 7 rewards each time. If you brought a raid force of a couple groups or more, the event would likely only last 10 minutes in that scenario. This way you're able to score as many points as possible within the 45 minute time, it all depends on your teamwork and power level. You could potentially gain alot of reward if your able to counter the increased difficulty. There are 4 Skirmish fronts to choose from, they all last 45 minutes upon start. Once started the Advanced Scout NPC will respawn in 2 hours to allow you to start it again. If you run through all 4 zones the one you did first will have long since been spawned again, allowing players to endlessly skirmish as long as you're joining eachother on the battlefields and not doing two zones at once. Remember: You must hail the Field Marshal NPC during the sign up period or you will not obtain any rewards for the Skirmish, you'll still be able to help out your friends and fellow soldiers but will not gain any rewards if you fail to hail the Field Marshal.

Skirmishes now reward Exp Chip in addition to the other rewards. These new Exp Chip can be turned into the AA Vendor in the guild lobby for 5 AA each. Don't hand him a stack! He'll eat them and only credit you for 1.
Once you become an Officer in the F.U.N. Army you will begin receiving double the Orum. Once you become a General, you will receive triple the Orum.
Quartermaster Ash will promote you to the next Rank when hailed after 20 skirmishes have been completed at your current rank.
I need to explain what more people = harder skirmish means exactly. The mob levels, strength, and HP, ect does not change. Just more spawn, that's all. So bring a raid it'll still be the same difficulty just more things in the pool to pull from, making singling them out more difficult. The more people that join, the faster you'll kill the more rewards you'll earn. Bring everyone you can and kick some skirmish butt.
7 hails = extra mobs, 13 hails even more spawn, 19 hails way more spawn ect.. ect..
Named are conditional spawns, meet the requirements and one will pop.
Killing a named = 1 point, killing a Boss = 2. You'll know when you spawned a Boss, they stand out a bit more than the named do.
Basically: Kill the trash faster, you'll see more named. It's really that simple.

Skirmish Overview:
Kithicor Forest, Lesser Faydark, the Dreadlands and Skyfire Mountains Is there a difference of difficulty between those 4 or are they the same ? just the trash mobs and the named are changing ? Is there only 3 ranks in Skirmish ? Recruit / Officer / General ?
