Since this has been my focus for the last while, I figured I would provide a write up on The Sword in the Stone! There are 203 "races" to hunt down for achievements, Hailing Sir Kay will give you the chance to list them all out. Hailing Sir Ector will tell you how many achievements you have. The name of the mob has nothing to do with whether or not they count towards a hunt. Only the model of the NPC matters (what the mob looks like). Most of them are self-explanatory, but some of them are a little misleading. Grease compiled an awesome list with pictures: Awesome List with PicturesThere are 4 levels that I have found for achievements: Hunter - 1000 kills Killer - 2500 kills Murderer - 5000 kills Exterminator - 10000 kills Rewards found so far: Excalibur (Weapon ornament that provides an awesome PBAOE and 10% riposte mod) 150 Hunt Achievements Ancient Dragonlance (Basically a clone of Enhanced Flame Hilted Hammer with Dragonbane and a clicky Dragon pet): 1000 Dragons 1000 Wurms 1000 Wyverns 1000 Drakes Dragoon Boots (Clicky from bag Targeted AOE of around 12K that hits 20 enemies): 2500 Dragons 2500 Wurms 2500 Wyverns 2500 Drakes Golden Wurm Saddle (Wurm Mount, very fast, grants bonus to AC, HP, Mana) 10000 Dragons 10000 Wurms 10000 Wyverns 10000 Drakes Ruby Red Slippers 1000 Lions 1000 Tigers 1000 Bears Holy Symbol 1000 Banshees 1000 Ghosts 1000 Ghouls 1000 Hags 1000 Spectres 1000 Undead 1000 Vampires 1000 Werewolves 1000 Wraiths

Is Ruby Red Slippers confirmed? Has someone actually acquired them?

Sturm teased the slippers one night and someone asked if there were any hints. Sturm said "Kansas." One of the guild members said "Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my," to which Sturm replied, "lol good job."

I recall the hint being Wizard of Oz, which could also indicate Holgresh (flying monkeys). Although, Lions, Tigers, and Bears makes more sense.

I recuse myself of any false information. Booze and old age makes me an unreliable witness.

Dragoon Boots (Clicky from bag Targetted AOE of around 9K that hits 4 enemies): 2500 Dragons 2500 Wurms 2500 Wyverns Cast time on this?

Not instant, but quick enough that you won't get interrupted, typically.
It's a neat little spell, actually. It's called "Jump" and teleports you to your target, launches you up in the air, does the damage, and does a very small (1700) bit of damage to you. I have found that the z-axis change in the jump triggers mobs to summon you, and that can be a bit of a pain. All in all, it is a fun spell to use occasionally.

Sturm, is there any chance you would be willing to change the jump boots to a pbaoe rather than a ranged aoe?

Sturm, is there any chance you would be willing to change the jump boots to a pbaoe rather than a ranged aoe? It wouldn't function properly if I did that as it requires a Target to "Jump" to. PbAoE's don't require a target to be cast.
What you're really asking for is an increase to the number of mobs it will hit with it's AoE effect. Which is understandable, who wouldn't want to hit more mobs at once!? haha
My thinking behind the spell was the player would jump into the air, strike down on the Targeted Mob with such force that it hurts yourself and causes a minor shockwave that hits a few mobs around in a very small area. I feel it does just that and is a fun little toy to play around with and nothing more. People can live without it, but it's fun to have for those that put in the work to obtain it.

Sturm and I had discussed increasing this spell to 20 targets, instead of 4, right after I acquired it. If that change was made, it is not represented in game. If the goal is to make it a fun item, then it accomplishes that goal.
If we are going to talk about it hitting more NPCs, I think the other aspects of the spell need to be scaled as well: The AOE radius needs to be slightly greater, the damage you do to yourself needs to be greater, and the height that you jump should be higher.

I had to be super careful with the height it sent you, it can definitely go higher than it is but if you were to "Jump" on an enemy from above via a cliff or decline there is a very real chance of doing 200k fall damage and killing yourself. It's a bit of a slippery slope. ~pun intended~

I definitely think it is one of the more interesting items in the game. Personally I would not use it as a ranged jump, but that is due to the amount of mobs I typically pull and the fact that I rely on sk epic to keep me alive while I do it. I could still see the item being very useful to many players, ~10k damage to 4 targets is significant.
