I pretty sure I followed all of the setup steps properly. However when I get to the character screen and click on create new character nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What client are you using, and have you ever used it on another server that required files to be placed in the everquest directory?

I downloaded the RoF2 client from ezserveronline.com/forums/index.php?topic=2890.0 - I did not have everquest installed at all I just downloaded the 10 zip files unzipped them into one directory then following the wiki to setup for Imperium Server. |

Not 100% positive, didnt see any mention of it over on ez's forums but it seems like they have there custom files already in that client, which would explain you not being able to create a character..but im not sure tbh...you may need to DL one of the torrents on our forums and see if you still have the same problem...if not then thats probably it..if so then its probably something on your end.

I have been trying to torrent for 2 days, the seeds keep going on and off line  . Once I get your guys torrent I think I might be ok, was just trying to get on sooner  . Thank you for the help. |

Grab the rof/uf hybrid and you should be fine trying to play on imperium with EZ server custom files is prob the problem you would have to remove what files they use for that server and replace em with what imperium uses if im correct just easier to get the hybrid torrent takes like 30 mins and your ready to roll use Utorrent as your torrent downloader

Downloaded the rof/uf hybrid, and it shows the newbie character now in the center, but the buttons still dont work to create a new one . Not sure what the issue is. |

This is something Iv'e never encountered and can only assume it is on your end and not the client(s) themselves. Not sure were to steer you towards at this point.

I just realized i downloaded the hot/uf hybrid lol, but im not sure how to find the rof/uf hybrid. Im new to torrents.

Its on the sticky labeled rof/uf hybrid download...
First you need a torrent downloader I suggest Utorrent good it easy to download
Next click the sticky follow the link will take you to pirate bay now MAKE SURE you click
(Download this torrent) will have a magnet next to it run uTorrent first
A msg will pop up just click allow or apply whatever it says download should begin about 35-50mins after its done move it to your desktop top and your ready to roll hope it helps

Ok, that is the one I tried . I'm not sure why it will not work, I'm running an AMD processor with and Radeon Video card. Everything works up until the character creation then nothing works . I have been researching it on the EQemu forums and have not found anything helpful there either. Its crazy to think im the only one that is having these kinds of issues, but it looks like I'am. thank you to everyone who tried to help me . |

Shot in the dark but are you sure you followed all steps added files you needed ect ? Didn't patch it to live or something and did you put the "patchme" in it after you made the shortcut and are you sure you dont have other old files from the ez server one anywhere idk man them are some of the things I can think of

mjbcb0717, yes I did all of that, the issue ended up being my AMD cpu was just to much for the game. I ended up having to change my cpu ratio, essentially turning my quad core 4.2ghz into a 2ghz processor. The good thing for me is I can change this on the fly so its not that big of a deal. I wanted to post just in case someone else has a similar issue this will hopefully get them going down a path to resolve the issue.
